A Message From NNO Event Producer, George Francisco
Nearly 50 public safety agencies and community groups packed Playa Vista’s Concert Park
for this year’s Pacific National Night Out. They were joined by hundreds of residents who enjoyed
free food, games, some great music and a free photo booth by Venice Paparazzi!
Not only was our very own Councilwoman Traci Park from CD11 on hand to thank
our officers, but none other than Mayor Karen Bass came out to show some love to the
westside and the Playa Vista Community.
Participants included officers fromo Pacific Division’s Command Staff,
Community Relations Department, Beach Detail, the LAPD Mobile Command Unit
was brought in for tours, the K9/Bomb Squad was walking around,
our LAPD Mounted Division showed off their horses, officers from the LA County Lifeguards.
the US Coast Guard, te FBI, The California Highway Patrol and LAFD CERT Battalion 4.
A number of community groups came together as well; The Disabled Community Resource Center,
The Playa/Venice Rotary, the MDR Rotary, the Westchester Playa NC, The Del Rey NC,
LA Rec & Parks, Loyola Marymount, KIDS ARE 1st and Share Self-Help & Recovery!
Local businesses supported the event with energy and enthusiams for the huge crowd of
attendees, hadning out all manor of treats and fun giveaways. A bit thank you to
Team Tami, Coldwell Banker, Target, The Home Depot, The meredith Scholsser Team, Celsius,
Be Love Energy Dring and Sweat Yoga.
Kids learned how to solder and make circuits under the careful guidance of Hacker Fund’s
“Tech To Protect” program and delicious free food was provided by PV House,
Cantalini’s Salerno Beach, The Penmar and Venice Beach Wines.
There was something for everyone at Pacific’s 2026 National Night Out,…

WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?
NNO takes place annually on the first Tuesday of August.
It is an annual community-building campaign that promotes
police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie
to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors
and law enforcement while bringing back a sense of community.
Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and
neighbors together under positive circumstances.
The LAPD Pacific Area celebrates each year
in different locations within the area.
This year is Playa Vista.
Last year was Mar Vista.
Previous years were
Westchester, Del Rey & Venice.
